Do you have attendance requirements?
We do have an attendance requirement but it is not too harsh. Once you are recruited you are given 3 months to obtain the training Basic & Gentac, if you fail to get the training within that time you will be removed, but are permitted to re-recruit into the unit. Once you have obtained Basic & Gentac and reached the rank of CT, you are required to attend a Main operation or Attendance skirmish at least once every 3 months.
Do I need the Arma 3 DLC?
Yes and no, some of our operations require the use of the Apex DLC, this does not bar you from participating in the unit, but operations that utilise the Apex map can not be attended if you do not have the DLC. However the unit offers dedicated members of the unit reimbursement of their purchase of the DLC when a sale comes around, you can find more about this by enquiring with an NCO
How do I join a detachment (Flying, Engineering, Mortars, etc.)?
“Detachment information is provided within the Detachment sections, there should be plenty of information to get a general idea of that detachment, but if you wish to learn more you can communicate with detachment members upon recruitment to learn more”
What is there to do?
Our unit provides plenty to do within operations and outside of operations. We host plenty of Skirmishes, Fun Operations, Main Operations throughout the week along with training and FTXs to learn something new or hone your skills. Within our discord we have the Out of Arma Interest tag to ping people to find people to play another game with you. And lastly we have our Public lounges for members who wish to just take a moment and relax
What is the age requirement to join?
Members are required to be at least 16 to join the unit. Exceptions may be made for members who are turning 16 within a couple months, but this requires an SNCO’s approval
What time are Operations?
Main operations occur 4 times a week (1x Friday, 2x Saturday, 1x Sunday). You can find the times of our operations on the Ops Center page, along with how frequent we host our Skirmishes, Fun Ops and Trainings
Do I need experience to join?
No, our unit is welcoming to people brand new to Arma 3. If you have any questions on Arma 3 or anything in general you are free to contact a Newcomer Liaison or NCO
How do I get a customized helmet?
Members are required to obtain the rank of SCT (Obtained at CT once a member has attended 8 operations, obtained 2 Standard qualifications and been approved for promotion by the NCO promotion board), they may request their helmet. There are rules for what may be put on a helmet and those rules can be found within the Custom helmet regulations channel. Custom helmets are completely free, but optionally members can donate to the unit to unlock an additional zone to customize. A member may get a helmet designed/textured prior to the rank of SCT, but are recommended to wait until SCT to assure all changes are to the member’s liking. A custom helmet may be submitted in three ways:
If a member knows what they want or has a rough idea and wish to see it on a 3D model, they may contact a member of the unit’s Helmet team to texture it and assist with any changes that may be needed.
If a member would like to submit a helmet with their own design they may edit one of the templates provided within the Custom Helmet Regulations channel
If a member is unsure of what they want on their helmet they may contact a member of Design team to help with figuring out what they would like on their helmet
Who do I contact if I have questions, comments or concerns?
The Newcomer Liaisons function to help CR/CTs with any problems they may have, do not worry about approaching members of the Liaisons with even a small question. If a Newcomer Liaison is unavailable then contact a Junior NCO for assistance
Where and When do I get the Modlist?
Our mod list is provided in multiple areas of the unit. You can currently grab our Main Operation and Skirmish Mod list on our Join us Page along with a guide on how to install mods via a mod list html file, but can also grab the mod list within our unit Discord and Member’s Wiki once you have been recruited within Teamspeak. If you need any further assistance setting up your mod list, feel free to ask during your recruitment, enquire a Liaison or NCO within the Teamspeak or utilise our Mod support channel within discord
